The Voice of the People who use the services provided by Summit
The Summit Advisory Committee was established in 2014 and is an important part of Summit Community Services Inc.
We have 8 members who meet regularly to talk about things that affect the people who use the services provided by Summit and we tell the Board our ideas.
What are we doing?
- Helping others and talking for them
- Making sure the service is right for us
- Supporting the Board and workers to run Summit
- Making suggestions for the Board to consider
And we share information with other people, families and workers so everyone knows what is happening or is going to happen!
It’s not only Summit workers who are part of our Committee; it’s made up of people who use the service and we also have members who are part of other organisations you may be a part of – Centacare & Challenge.
This mix of members is great because it gives the people who use the service a choice of how to let Summit know their thoughts and ideas on things that affect them.
Got an idea but not sure who to tell? There’s heaps of choices for you;
- Fill out an ideas form and put it in the box at the Summit Office
- Ring the office
- Talk to your family and support workers
