HOUSING SERVICES

Summit Community Services Inc primarily aims to alleviate the hardship of housing stress for low-to moderate income earning households by providing secure and affordable housing and delivering housing products for disadvantaged people who have difficulties sourcing adequate and affordable housing.

Summit Community Services Inc currently manages 65 properties in the Narrabri Shire which are either owned by the Land and Housing Corporation or leased to Summit Community Services Inc or head leased from private landlords. Summit Community Services Inc specialises in supported accommodation for people with complex housing needs, including people with disabilities, long term homelessness, women and children escaping domestic violence and young people.

Summit Community Services Inc houses many people with complex needs. Summit Community Services Inc has developed a number of formal partnerships with other service providers. This approach builds on the benefits of stable housing support that assists people to live independently and sustain their tenancies.

In May 2019 F.A.C.S. Housing in the Narrabri Shire transferred to Homes North, a regional community housing organisation that primarily works to create secure, affordable and sensitively managed housing opportunities for low income households, regardless of race, creed, colour, gender or sexual orientation. Given our unique location and exemplary reputation, Summit Community Services Inc formed a partnership with Homes North to manage properties in this area on their behalf.
