NOT HAPPY WITH YOUR NEIGHBOURS
ANTI SOCIAL BEHAVIOUR
Summit Community Services Inc does not tolerate unacceptable behaviour and will deal with complaints from tenants and the community about antisocial behaviour. We have very clear guidelines about the way we deal with complaints about neighbours. We need to deal with this within our policies and procedures and what the Residential Tenancies Act 2010 (NSW) says we do.
We can’t fix every problem with neighbours and we will only get involved if we are required to by law.
We will investigate the complaint if required, but there needs to be other information with it:
- You have reported the matter to the Police and you have an incident number
- You have kept an Incident Diary – which you can download from the link
- A Statutory Declaration
Remember: You can contact the Police if you have a complaint about neighbours. Summit Community Services Inc cannot get involved in criminal matters, which could be that you are being physically or verbally harrassed or if you believe that the neighbours are involved in illegal activities such as drug use, report your concerns to the Police. You can also contact Crimestoppers on 1800 553 314.
Reports of antisocial behaviour in regard to tenants will be dealt with by Summit Community Services Inc and if required we will thoroughly investigate each incident in a fair and reasonable manner. Where we can confirm an incident of antisocial behaviour has occurred, appropriate action will be taken.
We will not get involved in neighbourhood disputes unless it is in line with the Residential Tenancies Act 2010 NSW.
